“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God…”
— Romans 8:28
Ken Loudenback has been faithfully serving within The United Methodist Church for more than four decades. His journey began in 1984 at Wesley United Methodist Church, where he quickly became an active leader in the congregation. In 1989, he was appointed Lay Leader, a role he held for many years as he continued to grow in discipleship, service, and leadership.
Sensing a deeper call to ministry, Ken became a Local Licensed Pastor and began serving as an Associate Pastor at Plainfield United Methodist Church, where he continues to minister today. On January 1, 2020, he expanded his pastoral responsibilities by also becoming the Pastor of Bridgeport United Methodist Church, shepherding the congregation with compassion, steadiness, and Scripture-rooted guidance.
Ken has long been committed to developing and equipping lay leadership across the Indiana Conference. He has served as a Certified Lay Speaker, Lay Servant instructor, and as a member of the Board of Directors for Lay Servant Ministries in the Central District. He now serves on the Board of Directors for the South Central Plains District of the INUMC, continuing his passion for empowering others to serve Christ and the Church.
Ken has been married for 40 years to his wife, Kim Loudenback, who also devoted many years of service to the UMC as the Administrative Assistant at Wesley UMC for approximately 14 years. Together, they have built a life centered on faith, family, and ministry.
Outside of pastoral work, Ken enjoys spending time with his family, attending his grandchildren’s events, and cheering on his favorite Indiana teams—including IU, the Pacers, the Colts, and the Indianapolis Indians. Each morning begins with Scripture, and he has read the Bible from cover to cover fifteen times, finding joy in sharing God’s Word with others.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
