Jeanette has been a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church for 40 years. After a career in education, Jeanette transitioned her knowledge of grants and school improvement plans to writing proposals for non-profits. She completed her certification in not for profit fundraising from Mendoza School of Business at Notre Dame. Jeanette has a BA in Music Education from Anderson University, a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from Indiana University, and a second MA in Literacy Acquisition from Purdue University. She is currently CEO of Grants by J, LLC.
Jeanette and Darryl Moody met in 5th grade youth camp, and have two adult children, Nicole Renee Simonsen and John Wesley Moody. Both are married, and there are three Simonsen granddaughters.
New Song at St. Luke’s is a women’s ensemble, and Jeanette has accompanied or sung in this group for 25 years. She is also the founder and member of the Reader’s Book Club that has been active for 23 years. She is an avid reader.
Jeanette joined Metro’s Board in 2021 and serves as Chairperson of the Grants committee as well as serving on the Fundraising committee.
