Edward Santiago

Board Member

Edward joins Metro’s Board in January 2022. Ed and his wife Julie are long-standing members of Faith United Methodist Church on the east side of Indianapolis. He humbly serves at Faith UMC by leading the Men’s Group and by helping build and extend missional opportunities in the church’s neighborhood.

Ed brings extensive experience in leadership, human resources and customer care to Metro Ministries. During his expansive career, he gained the reputation for being the person who identifies issues and offers solutions before they become “problems”. While working as a customer care supervisor with Finish Line, Inc., Ed recognized the need for Spanish speaking customer care specialists and launched the company’s bilingual customer care team to focus on the needs of their Spanish speaking customer base, working on the interviewing, hiring and training in order to adequately staff this important team. When he later moved into a human resources role with the organization, he ensured all employee documents and training materials were translated into Spanish. Ed is a veteran of the United States Army, having served for eleven years in personnel administration.

Ed has prior board member experience, having served on the boards of Diversity Roundtable of Central Indiana (DRTCI) and Community Alliance of the Far East Side (CAFE). Ed brings his professionalism, maturity and persistence to Metro Ministries and is eager to apply his skills and experience to help Metro achieve our goals.
