Amy Sell has served on Metro’s Board since January 2020 and began her service as Metro’s Board President in 2022. Amy loves the act of serving and all the possibilities that it creates for people to be in relationship with one another. Amy has served in children and youth ministry for over 20 years, currently serving as the Minister of Discipleship and Formation at North United Methodist Church. Prior to taking this position in 2015, she was the Christian Education Coordinator at Henderson Settlement in Frakes, Kentucky.
Amy is a farm kid from northwest Indiana. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Indianapolis, an M.A. in Youth Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary and is currently enrolled at Iliff School of Theology to complete her Masters of Divinity. Amy loves learning about others and connecting with them through resources and collaboration, that leads to changed lives for everyone. Amy’s experience in fundraising, listening and storytelling have proven invaluable to Metro Ministries.
She loves working with kiddos, people with disabilities and with camping ministries, and she hopes to one day seek elder ordination. Her five nieces and nephews are her heart, which is readily apparent when she speaks of them. In her spare time, she likes to read, camp, hike, cook and kayak. She is a huge Tennessee lady Vols and IU men’s basketball fan as well as a Green Bay Packer shareholder.
