Welcome to Metro’s Blog!

I’m a little nervous because this is my first blog post EVER! I’ll keep this first post simple by welcoming you to Metro Ministries, Inc.’s new website! I’m so excited to share this with you and hope you like our new look. I’m confident you will find something helpful.

For starters, our old website had an outdated look and feel to it. It didn’t catch the attention of folks not familiar with Metro Ministries. More importantly, we needed a clearer picture of what Metro does and why Metro matters. We intend to answer the question “what can this organization do for me?”.

If you visited our website in the past, you will see that much of the same information is still available, including our mission, vision and core values and stories of the most recent grant recipients. You will also see simple navigation and clean presentation that work equally well on laptops, phones and tablets.

One of the most useful additions is the Resources Hub. I have been sharing links to various resources in the weekly newsletters for over a year . Now, these and many more resources have a permanent and easy to navigate page. My vision is folks searching the Internet for community resources will find this Hub and be able to connect to one or more of these resources.

Our new website also gives you an opportunity to Get Involved by joining the Friends of Metro network. We invite you to consider giving of your time and and talents to help Metro continue to live out our mission. And of course, we’ve made it easy and available throughout the website to make a financial gift to Metro Ministries, because we cannot have impactful Grants programs without your financial support!

Along with the blog section, our Communications page also provides easy access to Metro’s growing video library, the most recent weekly newsletters and our annual reports.

Please share our website it with others so that Metro can make new connections, build new relationships and expand the impacts on individual lives and communities in Central Indiana!
