Tina McAninch joined Metro Ministries as the Executive Director in 2019. Tina is passionate about serving individuals and communities in need and brings this passion, along with her knowledge of resources, relationship-building, facilitation and needs assessment skills to Metro Ministries.
Tina believes that it is our responsibility and calling as Christians and United Methodists to bring the kingdom of Heaven here to earth for everyone, not just for individuals who look or think like she does. She feels led to serve the forgotten, the ignored and the struggling.
As a licensed social worker, Tina has over 5 years of social services experience as well as over 20 years of team, project and program management expertise in the business sector. Prior to joining Metro Ministries, Tina served as the Program Director for No Place to Call Home, the first county-wide homelessness initiative in Johnson County.
Her passion for ministry is summed up in her statement “I strive to carry these words of John Wesley with me every day: ‘Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.’“
Tina and her husband Paul reside in Bargersville and are members of Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin, where she serves as a Stephen Minister. In her spare time, Tina enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking and relaxing with Paul and their two dogs, Jamie and Magic. She is also an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan, staying true to her Kentucky roots and her undergraduate alma mater.
