Seana Murphy

Board Member

Seana Murphy is a person who has always worked for the betterment of families and students to achieve academic goals and excellence. Her entire career has focused on creating academic environments where students can have better access to higher education and to increase the number of college graduates. Seana has worked tirelessly in developing local and national partnerships with various organizations such as AT&T Foundation, U.S. Department of Education, Indiana General Assembly, Kiwanis and Lions Clubs, Central Indiana Community Foundation in leveraging muti-year funding totaling over $25 million dollars for the Twenty-first Century Scholars Program when she was the State Director of Twenty-first Century Scholars program of Indiana.

Seana has served as Vice President of Operations for Early Learning Indiana, Assistant Vice President for admissions at Ivy Tech Community College, Director of Pre-College programs at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis and Executive Director of the Jubilee Program for Broadway United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.

Seana holds a master’s degree in theological studies from Christian Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from DePauw University. Seana is regularly active in community activities. She has served as a trustee for Broadway United Methodist Church, is Project Manager for the community project called Interrupting Racism, is a trainer for Grassroots Grant Makers, and project Lead Alumni and guest speaker.

Seana and her son, Mathew, live in Indianapolis and are avid sports fans. Seana is ready, willing, and able to lend a helping hand, support, or words of encouragement to anyone. Seana is always there smiling and rooting for a person to be the best they can be.
