Pastor Jeffery Postell is a native of Montgomery, Alabama where he remained until his transition to the District of Columbia in 2017 to pursue graduate-level studies. Pastor Jeffery has always placed a high value on education leading him to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education from Huntingdon College (’17) as well as a Master of Divinity w/ a specialization in African American Church Studies from Wesley Theological Studies (’21). Rev. Postell is currently matriculating through his doctoral studies at United Theological Seminary where he is a part of the “Enacting Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s Beloved Community” cohort. Rev. Postell resides in Indianapolis, IN where he serves as the Senior Pastor of the historic Scott United Methodist Church.
Rev. Postell is the proud husband of Shay Nunn, and they together are the proud parents of Justus Isaiah Postell. In his spare time, Rev. Postell enjoys bowling, video games, reading, and spending quality time with his family. Rev. Postell’s believes that his call can be best understood and viewed as assuming the responsibility to facilitate the advancement of Rev. Dr. King’s beloved community by reconnecting Jesus and Justice with love.
